Overview
Firefly Wedding, originally Hotaru no Yomeiri, is an anime adapted from Oreco Tachibana's manga, produced by David Production as a TV anime in the drama and romance genres. When the mysterious assassin Shinpei targets her, Satoko's marriage plans are put at risk. To save herself she makes a desperate proposal of marriage to him, and Shinpei takes the vow of until death do us part very seriously. Takahiro Kamei directs, Yuuko Kakihara writes the scripts and handles series composition, and Yukiko Aikei designs the characters.
Verdict
It suits viewers who like romance with a touch of sorrow and awkward circumstances, and it needs no background since the data lists no earlier season. Newcomers can begin with episode one.
