Overview
Koori no Jouheki (The Ramparts of Ice) adapts Koucha Agasawa's manga, is produced by Studio KAI, runs 14 episodes and began airing on 2/4/2026. Higawa Koyuki is socially inept and keeps a wall between herself and others, spending high school alone until she meets Amamiya Minato, a boy who keeps trying to close the distance between them.
OtaHub's take
The four leads are the loner Koyuki, the popular Miki, the boundary-less Minato and the kind basketball player Youta, along with their tangled young lives. The genres are comedy, drama, romance and slice of life. Mankyuu directs, Yasuhiro Nakanishi handles series composition, and a second season is on record as the follow-up.
Verdict
It suits viewers who like delicate school romance with more inner feeling than melodrama. This is the opening part, so you can watch right away.
