Overview
Mahou no Shimai Lulutto Lilly is a 12-episode magical-girl TV anime from Studio Pierrot that aired from 18/4/2026 to 21/6/2026. Fuu and Rui used to be close but have drifted apart lately. One day Fuu encounters a mysterious spaceship and gains magical powers, and at the same time Rui gains them too, and both transform into the adults they dream of being.
OtaHub's take
The sisters' powers come with two conditions: the magic lasts only one year, and no one must know. Unaware of each other's secret, Fuu and Rui both become active as idols. The series is tagged magical girl. The second part, Mahou no Shimai Lulutto Lilly (Part 2), is scheduled to premiere on 4/10/2026, so this season is the place to start.
Verdict
It suits viewers who like magical girl stories with a family element, where two sisters must keep secrets from each other. All 12 episodes have aired, so it can be watched in one run before part two begins. If you want to be ready for Part 2 in October, this is the right starting point.
