Tai-Ari deshita.: Ojou-sama wa Kakutou Game Nante Shinai

Overview

Tai-Ari deshita.: Ojou-sama wa Kakutou Game Nante Shinai (known in English as Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games) follows Mitsuki Aya, who has one goal at the elite Kuromi Girls' Academy: to become a refined young lady like the school's flawless White Lily, Yorue Mio. That image shatters when Aya accidentally catches Mio playing fighting games.

OtaHub's take

It turns out Mio is a hardcore gamer and wants to duel Aya, which kicks off both a battle and their friendship. It is based on Eri Ejima's manga, produced by Diomedea, directed by Shouta Ibata with series composition by Wataru Watari, runs 12 episodes, and began airing on 7/7/2026. The data lists the genre as drama, though the description suggests a fairly light tone.

Verdict

It suits viewers who like school stories with girls' friendships and fighting games, even without knowing the genre well. According to the available data, nothing needs to be watched first.
