Tenkou-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken

Overview

Tenkou-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishoujo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken is a 12-episode TV anime from studio project No.9 that aired from 6/7/2026 to 21/9/2026. Hayato reunites with the childhood friend who used to play in the mud with him in the countryside. He still remembers a bratty boy, but the person in front of him is now a beautiful, gentle young woman.

OtaHub's take

The appeal is the contrast: elsewhere she keeps up her refined image, but in front of Hayato alone she drops the act and behaves as crassly as she used to, so the distance between them has not changed. The series blends comedy with romance in a high school setting.

Verdict

It suits viewers who like gentle school rom-coms where a childhood friendship slowly turns into something else. All 12 episodes have aired, so it can be watched in one run. If you enjoy the idea of a heroine with two faces, one for strangers and one for someone she knows well, it is worth considering.
