Overview
Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Naijan, Murimuri! Next Shine! is a 5-episode TV anime from Studio Mother that aired from 31/12/2025 to 1/1/2026. Renako Amaori, a former gloomy and socially awkward girl, reinvented herself for high school and made it into the popular group. Then she is suddenly confessed to by two of its brightest stars: the school's prince, Mai Oduka, and the campus angel, Ajisai Sena.

Unable to answer, Renako agrees to help her friend Kaho by joining a cosplay event, the perfect excuse to delay her reply. But as she witnesses Kaho's passion firsthand, something begins to stir inside her. Tags are comedy, romance and harem. The synopsis starts after the confessions, so newcomers should watch the earlier installments.
Verdict
It suits viewers who already follow the series and want to continue Renako's story, especially its theme of accepting yourself. With only 5 episodes it is a very quick watch.
