Overview
World Is Dancing (known in English as The World Is Dancing) is set in 14th-century Japan and follows 12-year-old Oniyasha, born into a life of acting and dance with a traveling theater troupe. He has one problem: he does not know the point of any of it. Why step with the left foot instead of the right, why is one performance good and another bad, why do people dance at all?
OtaHub's take
It all seems arbitrary until a chance encounter in a run-down shack sets him on a path to revolutionizing the art form. It is a fictionalized account of the early life of Zeami Motokiyo, the founder of modern Noh theater. It is based on Kazuto Mihara's manga, produced by Cypic, directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, runs 13 episodes as an ONA, and began airing on 29/6/2026.
Verdict
It suits viewers who like drama about art, Japanese cultural history, and the search for meaning in creativity. According to the available data, nothing needs to be watched first. The series runs 13 episodes in total.
