I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World Season 2 Premieres in January 2027

TOKYO MX, BS11 and other Japanese broadcasters will air the second season of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too from January 2027. The anime has also introduced two new characters, Iris Knowblade and Mai Kagurazaka.

The series follows Yūya Tenjō, a frequently bullied teenager who discovers a doorway to another world. The power he gains there also changes his life back home, setting up an adventure across both worlds.

Yūya prepares to face the Sword Saint

In the new season, Yūya trains to master his newly acquired power as an opposing force grows stronger. In the kingdom of Regal, he is also preparing for a match against the Sword Saint, described in the official introduction as the strongest Saint.

Millepensee returns to animate the series, with Shin Itagaki directing and Hiromi Kimura designing the characters. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka continues to voice Yūya.

Yūya and two girls stand before an arena in the season two promotional visual — Yūya appears in black armor beside two girls, with a circular arena in the background.

Iris and Mai join the cast

Ikumi Hasegawa will voice Iris Knowblade. In her comments about the role, she describes Iris as a strong girl with a confident presence.

Sora Amamiya plays Mai Kagurazaka, a character dressed as a miko, a shrine maiden at a Japanese Shinto shrine. According to Amamiya, Mai can appear aloof while caring for others, and sometimes reveals a shy side.
