Where to rewatch the earlier films

Aniplex of America will release the trilogy on Ultra HD Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos on October 15, 2026, sold through the Crunchyroll Store and MediaOCD. Digital versions reach Crunchyroll on November 8 and Netflix on January 2, 2027. Crunchyroll also gets Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese dubs from November 15.

OtaHub’s take

The rollout is tightly planned. The old films reach Crunchyroll more than two months before the North American screenings, and Netflix lands only two weeks ahead, right when people need a refresher. For a franchise known for a tangled plot and a divisive ending, it is a sensible way to bring back old viewers and pull in new ones.

What to wait for is the schedule in Asia. There is no word on Vietnam yet, and Netflix lineups can differ by region.
