Code Geass Lost Stories will close on December 7
According to the game’s official site, Code Geass Lost Stories will end service on December 7, 2026. On the announcement day itself (October 7), the game stopped selling Sakuradite currency, the Lost Stories Pass and the Starter Pack. The source gives no reason for the shutdown or a refund policy, and does not say whether the closure covers all regions or only some versions.
It is a free-to-play action RPG that launched in May 2022 on phones and on PC via DMM Game Player. DMM Games announced in November 2021 that it was restarting the project with f4samurai as developer, and the theme song “Pendulum” was performed by the band FLOW. The English version launched on iOS and Android in September 2023 and ended service in August 2024.

How did Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis end?
Square Enix announced in July that Ever Crisis would end service. The game closed at 11 p.m. PT on October 6, which is 3 p.m. on October 7 in Japan. Ever Crisis launched on iOS and Android on September 7, 2023 and came to Steam in December 2023. Red Crystal sales ended on July 7, 2026.
According to producer Shoichi Ichikawa, the game became too expensive to maintain to the visual standard fans expect from a Final Fantasy VII title. Refunds for unused paid currency are limited to Taiwan residents. As it closed, Square Enix released a “Thank You For Playing!” trailer drawing on scenes from The First Soldier, Crisis Core and the original Final Fantasy VII.

What should players do?
Code Geass Lost Stories remains playable until December 7, but paid packs are no longer on sale. If you are playing, check the in-game notices about remaining currency and account data. Ever Crisis has closed completely and has no offline mode, so it cannot be played again.
OtaHub’s take
Both are live-service games, meaning they need servers to run. When a publisher switches the servers off, players lose access, including to what they paid for. That is worth weighing before putting money into an online game, especially one that has been running for years.
OtaHub has seen no separate notice for players in Vietnam. If you play either game, follow the official channels for exact deadlines.
