Which sports are in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort?

Spocco Resort on Wuhu Island has 12 sports to try alone or with friends. Thumb Wrestling and Skateboarding are the two new additions:

  • Thumb Wrestling: pin your opponent's thumb for three seconds to win.
  • Skateboarding: use a Joy-Con 2 controller like a mouse to steer your board, grind rails and perform aerial tricks.

The ten returning sports are:

  • Power Cruising and Prop Plane: twist the controller to boost your jet ski, or tilt it to control a plane, roll in the air and shoot balloons.
  • Archery and Bowling: account for wind when aiming, or twist the controller to put spin on a ball.
  • Table Tennis, Boxing, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball and Golf.

Wear the controller wrist straps and leave enough room around you for motion controls.

How do solo, local and online play work?

Up to four people can play on one Switch 2, depending on the sport and mode. Some multiplayer options may require extra controllers or accessories, sold separately.

For solo play, Island Crown lets you challenge the island's champions across nine sports. Opponents include the Mii character Matt, and challenges earn Spocco Points to spend on customization items. Sightseeing Tour offers a different pace, with island exploration, challenges and photos to collect.

Online play supports 2 to 16 players depending on the mode. Friend Lobby is a private room for up to eight friends, while Casual Online offers unranked matches across nine sports. Pro League matches you with opponents by skill for ranked competition.

Online play requires a Nintendo Account and Nintendo Switch Online membership. That also applies to GameChat, the Switch 2 chat feature; video chat needs a compatible USB camera.

You can spend the Spocco Points you earn at the Item Center on customization items. Nintendo says it offers two item collections each week, with additional themed items every month.

Price and what you need to buy

The US store lists the game at $49.99, with an estimated download size of 16 GB and support for TV and tabletop modes. Thai is among the listed languages, but Vietnamese is not supported.

If you also need a console, Nintendo lists a US bundle with a Switch 2, the digital game and three months of Nintendo Switch Online for $529.99. Check the price and sales terms where you plan to buy, as these are US offers.
