Overview

Futsutsuka na Akujo dewa Gozaimasu ga (Though I Am an Inept Villainess) is adapted from the light novel by Satsuki Nakamura, illustrated by Kana Yuki and published by Ichijinsha. A manga version by Ei Ohitsuji has run in Monthly Comic Zero Sum since December 2020.

In the imperial palace, Kou Reirin is a frail but well-liked maiden, while Shu Keigetsu is a rival widely disliked. When the two are forced to swap bodies, Reirin does not despair but uses her healthy new body to face the conspiracies of the court.

Verdict

Doga Kobo produces, with Mitsue Yamazaki directing, Yoshiko Nakamura on series composition and Yukari Hashimoto on music. It premiered July 12, 2026 with 11 episodes in its first cour and a second cour planned for January 2027, streaming on Crunchyroll and other platforms, suited to fans of palace romance fantasy.
