Overview

Honkai: Nexus Anima is a creature-collecting adventure strategy game from HoYoverse in the Honkai franchise, planned for PC, iOS and Android. You play a plane-hopping traveler who has just escaped captivity. The world is built on Nexus, the bonds between paired concepts such as love and hate, or light and dark. When those bonds snap, their power scatters into creatures called Anima, and you bond with them to use the concepts they carry.

OtaHub's take

According to Anime Corner, you collect and raise Anima, each with its own abilities that can be strengthened and combined, then fight alongside them in Nexus Battles. The game opens in a quiet hub town and expands into new regions. Inven Global says the 9 July 2026 Evolution Test added characters, Anima, regions and systems, including Iya Village, Bond Hall and the True Nexus Group. Some sources call it an auto-battler, but the articles OtaHub read only call it a strategy game, so treat that label as unconfirmed.

The first closed test, the Nexus Bond Test, took registrations until 12 September 2025, and the Evolution Test began on 9 July 2026 on all three platforms, with testers drawn by lottery from pre-registrants. Both tests wipe data afterward. Pre-registration is open on the game's official site. HoYoverse has not announced a release date or a pricing model.

Verdict

it suits HoYoverse fans who enjoy exploring, collecting creatures and building teams, especially if Palworld or Pokemon appeal to you but you want a Honkai flavor. Confirmed: three platforms, two closed tests, pre-registration. Not confirmed: the launch date, monetization and whether it is an auto-battler. The studio tends to test many times, so there is no rush.
