OtaHub's take
The work is a human drama spanning twelve months, looking at isolation, vulnerable labour and how those around a person react to someone who does not fit the norm. It is not a light slice-of-life, so viewers should be prepared for heavy themes.
The manga was reported to pass 3 million copies in circulation by August 2026, ranked fourth in Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2026 and was nominated for the 50th Kodansha Manga Award. Seven Seas Entertainment holds the English license.
As for the anime, the announcement of 26 July 2026 only confirmed a 2027 release with Flag Pictures involved. The animation studio, director, cast, episode count and broadcast platform have not been announced at the time of writing.
