OtaHub's take
Crunchyroll announced the TV anime at New York Comic Con 2026. Animation is by breccia (a new Japanese studio founded by Muneki Ogasawara, a Kinema Citrus co-founder) and Studio Jemi (Korea), with HAYATE producing. Takehiro Kubota and Won Yeong Kang direct, Toshiya Ono writes the scripts and oversees the series composition, and Masahiro Suwa designs the characters.
Per Anime Corner, the story follows K, a veteran boxing trainer, who finds Yu, a young fighter who seems to absorb punches without reacting. Under K's guidance, Yu steps into the ring and faces rivals who rely on skill or effort. The Japanese cast is Kōki Uchiyama (Yu), Kenshō Ono (Ryu), Tomokazu Seki (K) and Toshiyuki Toyonaga (J). The anime's air date has not been announced.
Verdict
A good fit for readers who like sports stories built around the question of what strength means, with intense art and a cold protagonist. To get ahead of the anime, read the English edition on WEBTOON; the anime needs an official air date first.
