Overview
The Saga of Tanya the Evil II (Youjo Senki II) is the second season of the anime adapted from Carlo Zen's light novel, in the action and fantasy genres. It is produced by studio NUT, runs 12 episodes, and began airing on 8/7/2026.
OtaHub's take
Takayuki Yamamoto serves as director, Kenta Ihara writes the scripts, and Yuuji Hosogoe handles both character design and chief animation direction, based on Shinobu Shinotsuki's original designs. According to the related-works data, this season follows the Youjo Senki Movie, so the storyline builds on earlier parts rather than starting fresh.
Verdict
It suits viewers who have seen the earlier Youjo Senki installments, since season two is not a starting point for newcomers. If you have not, begin with season one and the film before moving to this part.
