Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 concludes its Recapture Arc with episode 19 on September 30, 2026. KADOKAWA lists the season at 19 episodes in total, with animation production once again handled by White Fox.
The season was divided into two parts. The first cour began in April 2026, while the eight-episode Recapture Arc started on August 12. Episode 18, broadcast on September 23, was therefore the penultimate chapter rather than the finale.

Re:Zero Season 4 episode schedule
- Episode 12: August 12, 2026, Recapture Arc premiere
- Episode 18: September 23, 2026, penultimate episode
- Episode 19: September 30, 2026, Season 4 finale
The finale is scheduled as an extended broadcast rather than a standard half-hour television slot. Streaming availability and exact release time vary by country, so viewers outside Japan should confirm the listing on their licensed local service.
What the Recapture Arc is about
Season 4 begins after the battle in the Watergate City of Priestella. Subaru's group survived, but the Authority of Gluttony left several allies in critical circumstances: Rem remains asleep, Crusch has lost her memories and Julius has had his name devoured.
Searching for a way to restore what was taken leads Subaru toward Shaula, a “wise man” said to possess extraordinary knowledge. Reaching her requires crossing the Auguria Dunes and entering the Pleiades Watchtower, a place so dangerous that even Reinhard was unable to conquer it.
The Recapture Arc focuses on the consequences inside the tower. Subaru is forced to confront lost memories, damaged relationships and rules he does not fully understand. As usual for Re:Zero, Return by Death may give him another attempt, but it does not remove the mental cost of every failed route.

Where Season 4 fits in the story
The anime adapts material following the Priestella conflict covered by Season 3. New viewers should not begin here: the season assumes knowledge of Subaru's ability, the royal-selection candidates, the Witch Cult and the relationships built across the earlier arcs.
KADOKAWA's English animation portal confirms White Fox as the studio and provides a total of 19 episodes. The portal also describes the journey to the Pleiades Watchtower, making it the most reliable reference for the season's basic production and story information.
What comes after episode 19?
No continuation should be treated as confirmed until the official anime website or KADOKAWA publishes an announcement. Promotional visuals, light-novel material and fan discussion may indicate where the story could go, but they are not a production confirmation.
