The hit school rom-com manga Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret (Hōkago no Idol ni wa Himitsu ga Aru) has officially been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation, set to air in April 2027 with Studio Gekkō handling production.
An Unexpected Bond Born in Remedial Class
The story follows Hizashi Hiruno, a first-year student at a prestigious high school. After a silly mistake on his answer sheet leaves him with a terrible score on the entrance exam, Hizashi is forced to attend remedial classes after school.
There, he unexpectedly runs into Rei Kuromiya, a classmate who is both an honor student and a famous idol with a perfect public image. In contrast to her glamour on stage, Rei is hiding a private secret. Accidentally learning this secret pulls Hizashi into spending his after-school days with the idol, opening up a sweet and entertaining school romance.
