OtaHub's take
The lead is Hizashi Hiruno, a first-year at a prestigious high school. One careless mistake filling in an answer sheet leaves him with a dismal result on the opening test and lands him in after-school remedial class. There he meets Rei Kuromiya, a classmate who is both a top student and a popular idol, and he accidentally learns something she keeps hidden.
The appeal lies in the contrast between Rei's two faces: the flawless stage image and the clumsy everyday self after class. Most of the story revolves around the two of them staying behind at school, so the tone is light, sweet and closer to everyday comedy than showbiz drama. According to OtaHub's article, the manga has nine volumes in Japan, with volume 10 expected on 29 October 2026.
On the anime side, Hikaru Satō directs, Fumihiko Shimo writes the scripts, Azuma Tozawa designs the characters, and music comes from Satoru Kōsaki with MONACA. Reiji Kawashima voices Hizashi and Hikaru Tōno voices Rei. The episode count, broadcast schedule and international platforms have not been announced.
