Kadokawa confirmed on July 21, 2026 that Agri Uma's manga Studio Cabana is getting a TV anime adaptation, set to premiere in 2027.
Sayumi Suzushiro will voice lead character Yukari Maki, reprising the role she played in a 2022 promotional video for the manga. A cast member for male lead Yusuke Kusaka has not yet been announced, though his character design has been revealed. Shin'ichiro Ushijima is directing at studio JUVENAGE, Sawako Hirabayashi is handling the series scripts, and Haruka Sagawa, who previously designed characters for Re:ZERO Seasons 3 and 4, is in charge of character design.
The story follows Yukari Maki, a high school girl known for her unwavering honesty, and Yusuke Kusaka, a delinquent classmate she feels she has nothing in common with. Her strict attitude earns her a reputation for hovering over him, but after following him home to address a rumor, she catches an unexpected glimpse of a completely different side of him at a music studio.
The manga began serialization on Kadokawa's pixiv Sylph online magazine in June 2021, with volume 8 released in November 2025 and volume 9 due out August 21. Yen Press has licensed the English edition, with release planned for winter 2027. You can find more on our latest news and Anime pages.
