The Wound & Bandage production team has revealed its first teaser, titled “Ai” (Love), alongside the broadcast schedule and two lead voice actors. J.C.Staff is producing the adaptation of Nanai Umihoshi’s manga Kizuguchi to Hōtai.
An unusual relationship between a boss’s daughter and her caretaker
Kiritani, the second-in-command of the Kurotori-kai yakuza group, is assigned to look after the boss’s daughter Riyo. He initially expects an easy job with a quiet young girl, only to discover that her interests are rather different from what he imagined.
Riyo is particularly fascinated by seeing strong people become vulnerable. The contrast between her appearance and that interest establishes the romantic comedy’s central premise. The production presents it as a romantic comedy centred on the unusual relationship between the boss’s daughter and her caretaker.
Hisako Kanemoto voices Riyo, with Chikahiro Kobayashi as Kiritani. Miyuki Ishida directs, Susumu Yamakawa writes the script, and Natsuki Ōyama handles character design.
Japan broadcast schedule and Vietnam time
The earliest Japanese broadcast will be on AT-X on the evening of January 9, 2027. The other announced slots fall after midnight in Japan, so their calendar dates differ.
| Japanese channel or platform | Japan time (JST) | Vietnam time (ICT) |
|---|---|---|
| AT-X, advance broadcast | 23:00, Saturday January 9, 2027 | 21:00, Saturday January 9 |
| ABC TV and TV Asahi network | 02:00, Sunday January 10, 2027 | 00:00, Sunday January 10 |
| ABEMA streaming | 02:30, Sunday January 10, 2027 | 00:30, Sunday January 10 |
Subsequent episodes are scheduled in the same weekly slots. The original announcement describes the ABC TV and TV Asahi slot as Saturday at 26:00, meaning 02:00 on Sunday in Japan. The table uses ordinary calendar dates to make the rollover easier to follow.
Converting the Japanese schedule to Vietnam time does not establish that ABEMA will offer the anime in Vietnam. The announcements linked here do not confirm a licensed viewing option for Vietnamese audiences.
The teaser begins four weeks of announcements
The “Ai” teaser arrived on October 16, 2026 alongside a new promotional visual and the lead cast reveal. The team will share further visuals, videos and cast announcements over four consecutive weeks. The video is available through the official announcement.
Two other anime are also scheduled for January 2027
Are You a Landmine, Chihara-san? also has a January 2027 broadcast schedule. The SynergySP school comedy follows Kuroki, an unassuming student seated beside Mai Chihara. Her reputation makes him apprehensive, but their conversations gradually reveal a girl different from the rumours. Sayumi Suzushiro and Kazuki Ura voice the leads.
I Lost My Adventurer’s License has so far confirmed January 2027 without a specific premiere date. It follows Douglas, a once-renowned mage whose declining condition has cost him his adventurer’s licence. Meeting Rabi, a cursed girl without a family, starts a new journey as they develop a father-and-daughter bond. Studio Palette produces the anime, with Hiroki Yasumoto and Yūka Iguchi in the lead roles.
