KONOSUBA has officially confirmed that Season 4 will premiere in 2027, marking the first time the beloved isekai comedy series moves to a completely new animation studio after three seasons tied to Studio Deen and Drive.
The announcement came during KONOSUBA's 10th anniversary event on July 26, 2026, alongside a new teaser visual featuring the full main cast of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness. Animation duties this time go to ENGI, the fourth studio to work on the franchise following Studio Deen (Seasons 1 and 2), Drive (Season 3), and J.C.Staff (the Legend of Crimson film).

On the staff side, Takaomi Kanasaki, who has been involved with KONOSUBA since its first season, returns as chief director, while Manabu Kurihara takes on the director role. Makoto Uezu continues handling series composition, Koichi Kikuta is back on character design, Yoshikazu Iwanami returns as sound director, and Masato Kouda is once again composing the score.
The entire original voice cast is returning as well, including Jun Fukushima as Kazuma, Sora Amamiya as Aqua, Rie Takahashi as Megumin, and Ai Kayano as Darkness.
An exact premiere date within 2027 hasn't been announced yet. Keeping nearly the entire core creative team intact despite the studio change is a good sign for fans worried about whether the show can hold onto its signature comedic timing after more than three years away since Season 3 and the film.
