When does Phantom Blade Zero launch, and on which platforms?
The game launches on 29 October 2026 on PS5 and PC, sold through Steam and the Epic Games Store. RPG Site lists the same date in Japan, the US and Europe, so you should not face a regional gap.
Some game calendars list 28 October, possibly because of time zones. OtaHub follows RPG Site and allthings.how, which both give 29 October. News about the 17 August State of Play is in our earlier article.
S-Game is the developer. Martial arts star Donnie Yen has been creative consultant since 2023 and also performed the motion capture for Mó Yuan, the father of protagonist Soul.
What is the difference between Standard and Deluxe?
An "edition" is a version of the game for sale. Deluxe is the same game with extra digital content.

Allthings.how lists the Deluxe contents as:

All four items are outfits and collectibles, with no extra levels or story content. RPG Site does not list this content, so check the store page before you pay.
What do you get for pre-ordering?
A pre-order means buying the game before launch. According to allthings.how, stores opened pre-orders at 7:00 PM Pacific on 11 August 2026, which was 12 August in Vietnam.
Pre-order buyers, including those on the Standard Edition, unlock the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit early. RPG Site says both can also be earned through in-game progress, so you can still get them without pre-ordering. The stores list no pre-order discount, and OtaHub has not found any source saying pre-orders unlock early play.
Can your PC run Phantom Blade Zero?
The PC requirements are out. According to Beebom, S-Game published them when pre-orders opened, and Prima Games, Digital Citizen and GameGPU report the same figures. The game runs on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, needs DirectX 12 and must be installed on an SSD.

Three terms from the table:
- Upscaling: the game draws the image at a lower resolution and stretches it to your screen, trading a little sharpness for more frames per second (FPS).
- Ray tracing: the computer simulates how light rays travel, which gives more realistic shadows and reflections but costs graphics-card power.
- Path tracing: a heavier form of ray tracing that simulates light across almost the whole scene, which is why it asks for the strongest card in the table.
In plain terms: a GTX 1660 gets you 1080p at 30 FPS, and an RTX 3060 Ti reaches 1440p at 60 FPS. Ray tracing and path tracing are optional extras for newer machines. The game uses Unreal Engine 5 (per Digital Citizen and Beebom). S-Game has not announced the install size, so leave plenty of free space on your SSD.
Is Phantom Blade Zero coming to Xbox?
Allthings.how says PS5 is believed to have 12 months of console exclusivity and that Xbox Series X|S is unconfirmed. OtaHub has not seen the publisher confirm this. If you play on Xbox, treat it as unsettled and do not buy on another platform on speculation alone.
OtaHub's take: which edition, and pre-order or wait for reviews?
For most players, the Standard Edition is enough. Deluxe costs $10 more and adds only outfits, an artbook and music, so it makes sense only if you like collecting.
Pre-ordering is not cheaper, and both pre-order bonuses can be earned in game. If you already know you like wuxia action, pre-ordering costs you nothing extra. If you are unsure, waiting for reviews after 29 October carries less risk. Either way, compare your PC with the spec table before you pay, because the minimum tier only promises 30 FPS.
