To mark the game’s second anniversary, Delta Force Game Director Shadow announced a series of new development plans. Notably, 2027 will bring major changes to game modes, graphics technology and the experience across platforms.
1. Operations Will Change With the Siege Map
The Siege map is expected to launch in early 2027 in the Valkyrie scenario, while the system that splits lobbies by gear value will be removed.
The map is divided into two zones: the Outer City with basic resources, and the Inner City with high-value resources but much greater danger.
Siege is built on Unreal Engine 5. Before that, an upgraded shooting range will arrive in November.
2. Unreal Engine 5 and the Detonation Mode
Starting next season, Unreal Engine 5 will be applied to Warfare maps, combining Nanite and Lumen/Dynamic Global Illumination to upgrade visuals, explosions and weather.
Meanwhile, Detonation entered beta testing on September 27, with two teams competing by detonating objectives or eliminating the entire opposing team.
3. Better Anti-Cheat and Matchmaking
According to the development team, cheating rates have dropped 84% on PC and 72% on Mobile since the start of the year.
The matchmaking system will also keep being upgraded. Cross-server matchmaking will roll out gradually between now and the end of the year, along with cross-region matchmaking adjustments to shorten wait times.
4. Console, Esports and New Content
The console version will continue to receive performance optimizations, add graphics enhancements for PS5 Pro and support gyroscope aiming.
On the esports side, the Rise Series now has 24 professional clubs. The Delta Force Invitational is expected to take place in Stockholm in late November.
In addition, Operator Quarters will launch in early 2027, letting players customize their own personal space. Delta Force is also preparing collaborations with Phantom Blade Zero and Pop Mart Gong Studio.
