Overview
Hokuto no Ken: Fist of the North Star (2026) adapts the manga, with original story by Yoshiyuki Okamura and original character designs by Tetsuo Hara. TMS Entertainment produced 14 episodes, airing from 11/4/2026. It is set in 199X after a nuclear catastrophe, where the strong prey on the weak and people cling to scraps of hope.

Out of the wasteland comes Kenshiro, heir to the assassination art Hokuto Shinken, a man with seven scars on his chest who is hunting his enemy Shin. The genres are action, drama and science fiction. Hiroshi Maeda directs, Kazuhiko Inukai handles series composition, and Part 2 is on record as the follow-up.
Verdict
It suits viewers who like hard-hitting action and post-apocalyptic violence, and who want to see a classic rebuilt with fresh visuals. This opens a longer run, so you can start right away without watching the older version.
