Overview

Lou's Lagoon is a cozy adventure-and-building game developed by Tiny Roar and published by Megabit Publishing. Players pilot their own seaplane between islands recently ravaged by a storm and follow the mysterious disappearance of Uncle Lou.

OtaHub's take

The gameplay centres on island exploration, crafting and rebuilding, along with customising both the character and the seaplane. Along the way players meet a colourful cast. There is no fail-state pressure, so quests can be tackled at your own pace, with a gentle investigation thread as motivation to explore.

Lou's Lagoon launched on 27 August 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch; the Steam page lists 26 August. A Deluxe Edition arrived at the same time, with a Lifeguard outfit, a bubble engine upgrade pack for the seaplane and a beach-themed decoration set. According to OtaHub, targeting so many platforms on day one is a fairly confident move for a small studio.

Verdict

Lou's Lagoon suits players who want a relaxed, pressure-free game that favours exploring and caring for their own island over competition.
