Overview
Monster Hunter Rise is Capcom's action RPG hunting game inspired by Japanese culture, released on Nintendo Switch in 2021 and later on PC and other consoles. Players hunt large monsters alone or with up to three others.

On 6 October 2026 Capcom announced Rise had passed 20 million copies worldwide. On 7 October 2026 it unexpectedly appeared on iOS and Android via Netflix Games, requiring a Netflix membership, with rebuilt touch controls, a new Recovery Button and former DLC quests unlocked through progression.
The Netflix version initially appeared only in some regions such as the Philippines and Malaysia, and not in Vietnam, where Netflix removed its games section in 2024.
Verdict
Monster Hunter Rise is an accessible entry point to the series, suited to newcomers thanks to its fast pace and flexible movement. Players in Vietnam should play it on Switch, PC or console.
