OtaHub's take

Akira lives a peaceful life with his older sister Haruka and his mother, who runs a cafe. The family harbors a secret: Haruka inherited a power from her father called Engine and hides it from others, while Akira did not inherit it and has an inferiority complex about it. When strange events start happening around the world, the story opens up. Kazuhiro Takamura both directs and designs the characters.

Verdict

It suits viewers who like original mecha with a family setting, opening on a carefully hidden secret. As an original work, newcomers can start from episode one with no background knowledge.
