Shueisha will release new The Promised Neverland and Blue Box novels in Japan on December 4, 2026.
Nanao writes both books, but they cover different periods. The Promised Neverland returns to Emma and her companions after the manga ends, while Blue Box Epilogue adds stories before and after its conclusion. They are best suited to readers who have finished the manga and want to follow the characters further.

What are the two new books?
The Promised Neverland’s new Japanese title is 約束のネバーランド ~10年目の贈りもの~, roughly A Gift for the Tenth Year. Shueisha presents it as the fifth novel in the series, marking the work’s tenth anniversary. It has 224 pages and four colour pages.
Blue Box Epilogue is the third novel in its series, with 208 pages and four colour pages. It includes events preceding the manga’s conclusion as well as later life, rather than simply continuing from the final page.
What happens to the characters?
The Promised Neverland novel follows Emma as she looks for work after reaching the human world. She meets Norman and Ray and helps establish their library, where a staff member dislikes the children formerly raised as food. Shueisha’s synopsis also lists stories about Cislo and the Lambda group, and Phil with the younger children.
Blue Box Epilogue begins as Taiki approaches high-school graduation. After obtaining a driving licence, he invites Chinatsu on a drive, but an incident interrupts their visit to a service area. Other stories involve Ayame and Kyo’s university entrance exams and Hina competing in rhythmic gymnastics as a university student.
When should you read them?
Finish the manga before approaching these books. Their introductions already place characters in circumstances near or after the conclusions, so even the summaries can reveal developments you have not reached.
December 4, 2026 is Shueisha’s Japanese release date. Both product pages describe Japanese editions, so this does not establish an English or Vietnamese translation date. Readers seeking a translation need a separate announcement from its licensed publisher.
