Dragon Ball Super: Beerus brings the Dragon Ball story back to the point right after Goku and his friends have fought Majin Buu. This time, the opponent isn’t an ordinary enemy but Beerus, the God of Destruction, whose power far exceeds anyone Goku has faced before.
The anime officially begins airing in Japan on October 11, 2026.
Beerus Awakens and Searches for the Super Saiyan God
After a long sleep, Beerus wakes up and learns of a prophecy about a warrior called the Super Saiyan God. According to official Dragon Ball information, Beerus then seeks out Goku and Earth to find this warrior.
Goku quickly realizes that Beerus is completely different from his previous opponents. Even in battle, Beerus’s power far surpasses Goku’s. When Beerus puts Earth at risk of destruction, Goku and his friends have to find a way to create a Super Saiyan God to face the God of Destruction.
Goku vs. Beerus – A Battle That Opens a New Era
After gaining the power of a Super Saiyan God, Goku officially enters the fight with Beerus. The clash isn’t limited to Earth but extends into space, with the two warriors’ power able to affect the entire planet. Notably, this battle isn’t simply about Goku defeating an enemy. Beerus becomes the character who opens up a much larger world for Dragon Ball, one with Gods of Destruction, angels and many other universes.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will retell this story with many new scenes, revised existing sequences, rebuilt visuals, newly recorded voice acting and restructured content. According to the Dragon Ball Official Site, the goal of the ENHANCED edition is to deliver more detailed and powerful visuals and fights.
From the Beerus Battle to New Threats
The story doesn’t stop after Goku’s showdown with Beerus. The latest trailer also teases Frieza and new threats heading toward Earth, showing that the story will keep expanding after the Beerus arc.
So Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is both the return of a familiar story and the opening of a new phase for Dragon Ball Super. Starting with the encounter with Beerus, Goku’s world expands from battles on Earth to the scale of gods and multiple universes.
