The Season Pass for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO includes the Hero of Justice Pack (characters and transformations from the 2022 film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero), two Dragon Ball DAIMA character packs, and the bonus DLC character Shallot (from the mobile game Dragon Ball Legends).

Background for newcomers: Sparking! ZERO is a 3D fighting game based on the Dragon Ball series and the successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi line, which stayed with many generations of fans thanks to its large-scale battles, destructible terrain and animation close to the original anime. DAIMA is the newest Dragon Ball series, returning Goku and his friends to child-sized forms after they are transformed by a force from the Demon World, a far cry from the familiar "grown-up warriors" mood of Dragon Ball Super. By continually adding characters from the films, the latest series and even another game in the same universe, Bandai Namco appears to be trying to turn Sparking! ZERO into a place that gathers almost the entire history of Dragon Ball under one roof.

DAIMA Character Pack 2

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO keeps expanding its roster through Season Pass DLC packs, including the DAIMA cast.

The second DAIMA pack adds six new characters: Goku (Mini) Super Saiyan 4, Goku (DAIMA) Super Saiyan 4, Vegeta (DAIMA) Super Saiyan 3, Majin Duu, Third Eye Gomah and Giant Gomah. The pack went on sale separately on September 24, 2025 in the US (September 25, 2025 internationally); Season Pass owners got three days of early access. A free update released alongside it adds a new "First Demon World" stage and balance adjustments.

The Biggest DLC Yet: Super Limit-Breaking NEO

On July 30, 2026, the game received its biggest DLC to date, Super Limit-Breaking NEO, with 33 new characters; see our article Sparking Zero launches Neo DLC.

OtaHub's Take

Adding "mini" versions of Goku and Vegeta from DAIMA to a game best known for grand combos and transformations is an interesting design decision: it forces the developers to rebalance animations and hitboxes for smaller character models instead of simply reusing the existing skeleton. For longtime players, it is also a test of whether DAIMA, a fairly new series compared with decades of other Dragon Ball content, has enough pull to be bought separately outside the Season Pass. Overall, the dense pace of Sparking! ZERO's DLC updates shows Bandai Namco sees it as a long-term flagship product rather than a game released and then left behind.
