The esports competition at the 2026 Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya) runs from September 23 to October 2, 2026 at the Aichi International Exhibition Center (Aichi Sky Expo, Tokoname, Japan). According to Wikipedia, about 537 athletes from 29 countries and territories compete across 11 events and 13 game titles.
Titles and events
- MOBA / strategy: League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings, Pokémon Unite, Identity V
- Shooter / survival: PUBG Mobile, Naraka: Bladepoint
- Fighting games: Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and The King of Fighters XV are combined into one team event (one player per game, a single set of medals)
- Sports: eFootball, Gran Turismo 7

- eFootball: played September 22–23 with 38 players from 19 countries (two-player teams mixing PC and mobile); Iran won gold
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang: September 29–October 1, 11 teams

- As of September 24, Malaysia led the esports medal table with one gold and one silver; Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Japan, South Korea and Uzbekistan have also medaled
The road to Asian Games in Southeast Asia
Six titles held regional qualifiers in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City in May–June 2026; Vietnam, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian nations earned spots. According to Tuổi Trẻ (June 2026), Vietnam’s esports delegation has 23 athletes and 6 coaches and is targeting at least 3 medals, including 2 silver and 1 bronze. Sources differ on how many events Vietnam enters, and Vietnam is not competing in Honor of Kings. OtaHub will update results as Vietnam’s events conclude.
Why it matters
Esports was an official medal sport at the Asian Games for the first time in 2022 (Hangzhou). This year Mobile Legends: Bang Bang makes its Asiad debut, and the fighting games are combined into a single team event.
