Two defeats leave TSW at 0–2
Team Secret Whales (TSW) are winless after the first two rounds of the League of Legends World Championship 2026 Swiss Stage. The Vietnamese team lost to North America’s LYON and China’s Invictus Gaming, both by a 0–1 score.
| Round | Opponent | TSW result |
|---|---|---|
| Round 1 | LYON | Lost 0–1 |
| Round 2 | Invictus Gaming | Lost 0–1 |
Both matches were best of one, with a single game deciding each winner. TSW’s 0–2 record therefore represents losses to two different opponents, rather than the score of one series.
TSW face LOS at 2 AM on October 27 in Vietnam
TSW’s next opponent is Brazil’s LOS, who are also winless after two rounds. LoL Esports schedules the match for 2:00 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Vietnam time (UTC+7). The actual start may shift depending on earlier matches.
This match is best of three, so the first team to win two games takes the series. The losing team receives its third Swiss Stage loss and leaves the tournament. TSW will have no further match to recover if they lose to LOS.
Beating LOS would not secure a quarterfinal place
From round two, the Swiss Stage pairs teams with the same record. Three match wins send a team into the knockout stage, while three losses eliminate it. Teams cannot face the same opponent twice during this stage.
A win over LOS would move TSW to one win and two losses, followed by another opponent with that record. To reach the quarterfinals from their current position, TSW must win three consecutive best-of-three series, starting against LOS. One victory would keep them in contention rather than secure qualification.
