OtaHub brings together the main events and side stories of Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium through chapter 21.
Drag the "How far have you played?" slider to hide entries you have not reached. The location, character and reference sections contain spoilers through chapter 21 and are hidden separately. Side stories stay hidden until chapter 21 because they can reveal later developments. Your browser remembers your choice.
Many side stories only say "sometime between 2065 and 2074". Wherever the order is a guess, the page says so right there.
Chapter events come from IOP Wiki, the side-story order from the Dandegate.net guide. Where the two disagree, OtaHub points it out.
Each tile is a chapter or a side story, colored by era. Click a tile to jump to it.
Teal marks the main story, amber marks side stories. Dates follow the game world. The 21 main chapters are the integer-numbered chapters, while chapters such as 6.5 and 12.5 are listed separately. One entry may cover several chapters, so the entry count is not the chapter count.
Cafes, small squads and the doll community take shape before the Commander sets out.
Centaureissi starts at Zucchero Cafe first, and Springfield recruits Sharkry after watching her sing on the street.
Andoris leaves the cafe for Squad 404, which is when Klukai and Mechty settle on the names they use now. Belka joins 404 a little later.
Springfield, Makiatto, Centaureissi and Sharkry take a job in CHE-02, a satellite city near Cherkasy, during the Cherkasy Carnival and bust a smuggling ring (Rhapsody Quartet).
Around the same time, Yoohee helps an old man fix a snow-making robot.
Nikketa takes a job at Mangi Security to look into a drug that causes "doll derangement syndrome".
She finds the company tied to a different narcotic spreading through the yellow zone. That thread comes back in chapter 16 and in Mokosh (Ex-Umbra).
Daiyan visits satellite city POL-05 for song inspiration and runs into Zhaohui again (Discordant Pitch).
Type 97 leaves Griffin, teams up with Daiyan for a music contest and finally takes back the name Jiangyu (A Fledgling).
The story is told through Suomi's letters.
The doll community led by Ullrid is starving in the yellow zone, so they try to seize the Marley thermal power station. The fight against Lambertia, a creepy doll, shows the station's underground farms actually worked, and Ullrid's gamble pays off. Dushevnaya is taken in by the community around this time.
Suomi is abandoned by a convoy and picked up by the Elmo.
The Mephisto agreement limits contact with former dolls, so she cannot go home right away. Groza escorts her back with a gift of supplies, and both sides hope the agreement ends soon.
The Commander captures Krolik during a B.R.I.E.F. contract.
Both want to find Peritya, so Krolik accepts a 100-day trial and officially joins the Elmo on April 14, 2074, the day before the main story begins (Secrets of the Heart).
A routine delivery contract, except that Helena is inside the box.
The game opens at 08:22 a.m., ten years after Girls' Frontline.
The Commander has left a shrunken Griffin & Kryuger to work as a bounty hunter on the Elmo, a mobile base, with Groza, Nemesis and Mayling. Today's contract is to haul a box. Varjagers ambush the Elmo, Team Groza keeps hold of the box, and inside is a young girl named Helena. The Dandegate guide estimates the chapter spans two days.
The Elmo enters Purification Zone W_2069_0105 and gains Colphne, a medic T-Doll.
The ambush at Port Vest goes wrong when Nemertea, a huge Boojum-class ELID, shows up. Colphne abandons her teammates and then comes back out of guilt, but Groza's trust in her is permanently damaged.
The box opens on its own when it reads the Commander's biodata.
Helena has been exposed to Collapse radiation without any ELID symptoms. The Commander distrusts the client, so Team Groza and Mayling go to the drop-off point and are pushed back by Sextans. The Commander takes Helena to satellite city ODE-01 to see an old friend.
Girard, Paradeus and Mangi Security all want Helena, and the Elmo follows the trail one lead at a time.
In ODE-01, the Commander meets Lenna and Kalina of NOMFA (an agency under the URNC).
Kalina admits she set up the contract to investigate the client. Helena is captured, Team Groza raids a Girard lab and runs into Darture, who turns into a giant mech. Kalina escapes execution thanks to Lenna and Leva and flees to Kyiv.
Darture wrecks Groza, who is uploaded into a new body and relives old memories.
With help from Dandelion and Peritya the team gets back to the Elmo, then finds Kalina's message was a fake. They also learn Helena is not fully immune, and that every doll on Team Groza carries a Remolding Pattern.
Once they reach the real Kalina, the Elmo heads for Kyiv through Saga's underground channel.
The team beats a Varjager ambush, takes in Vepley, and helps the brokers fight off vengeful Varjagers.
Colphne meets Crifium, an ELID sufferer, and secretly joins his cult, whose beliefs resemble Paradeus's.
The Elmo captures the cult leader, a Nyto coded Niter No.249, and the team infiltrates a Paradeus purification ritual where Crifium is turned into an ELID monster and Colphne has to put him down. Only afterward does Colphne open up about her past.
Lenna and Dandelion ask the Commander to move Helena to Lviv by rail.
At a rail hub a Boojum attacks and Colphne vanishes. The team uncovers a Paradeus lab and finds that the Boojum holds a second Helena, D-68. Centaureissi and Makiatto of Zucchero Cafe arrive to help.
Zucchero Cafe helps the Commander break out of Mangi Security's Omen encirclement, led by Adjutant Lentine.
The Commander meets Springfield at a safe house in CHE-02, and the two Helenas explain how Paradeus uses them. The second Helena is renamed Melanie. Groza's suicide-bombing attempt is stopped while Dier tracks down H.I.D.E. 404.
Squad 404 heads to the red-zone border and the Mephisto agreement starts to crack.
NOMFA deploys Team One of H.I.D.E. 404, led by Klukai, to the red-zone border to investigate Paradeus.
They clash with Dmitry's 3762nd Platoon, which Mangi Security is backing, and are attached to Dmitry's unit after a Boojum attack. Along the way the team discovers a partnership between Mangi and Cecht FABN.
Following a code from his late friend Nikolai, Dmitry leads the team to the Jahodná salt mine, where Dier retrieves a datachip with evidence of the Powehi Plan.
Dmitry's men sacrifice themselves in Operation Smoke Signal so 404 can escape. The Elmo steps in to stop Blusphere from self-destructing, but an EMP wipes the evidence. Cocoon, a third-generation doll of the Orlog Conglomerate, is heard for the first time in this chapter. Around now, per the Dandegate guide, the Mephisto agreement begins to loosen.
Odesa, Rurik's death and the Commander's first steps toward a base of their own.
After the ODE-01 incident, Kalina, Lenna and Leva are put under house arrest in Odesa.
Leva's neural data is loaded back into her original body so she can help, and Zimmerman releases Kalina. The group learns Sextans killed the Chief, finds a trap in ODE-22 that pins the blame on Kalina, and Lenna is captured. In an ODE-04 villa they discover Girard's underground lab, where Darture releases the Chaos prototype.
Girard equipment across Odesa malfunctions and NOMFA works to secure the cities.
Kalina's group traces the fake ELID vaccines to a Girard factory near Lviv. Rurik overloads the Selene Power Plant and flees, but Darture and a Groza lookalike kill him. Kalina sacrifices herself on the bridge, Zimmerman becomes interim Chief, and Cecht FABN replaces Girard.
The Commander plans a yellow-zone base with Dier and Sier while vaccine prices soar.
Lenna and Isa infiltrate Paradeus to look into Orphia Hospital, where Orphia runs an illegal vaccine factory. Orphia confesses she supplied patients to Paradeus, then sacrifices herself to stop an attack. The team finds another Paradeus base in the Lviv white zone. The Dandegate guide treats the Mephisto agreement as void from here.
Monsoon takes a job guarding a theater troupe in the yellow zone, clashes with the Commander working a parallel contract, then investigates Varjager attacks and rescues the kidnapped actress Aida.
By the end Zhaohui decides to join the Elmo. A caveat: the Dandegate guide still lists this story, but IOP Wiki says the original version was rewritten, so details here may not have survived.
Hearing the Mephisto agreement has loosened, 404 B boards the Elmo.
In Escape from Cyborg, Harpsy accidentally creates a new AI that eats her friends' memories, and the group sorts it out in one night. Springfield takes a job at Platinum Resort (Mimisbrunnr's Loop), testing Moppy 1.5 robots for Sycca Technologies, enough to cover three months of Elmo expenses. Peri catches a virus tied to Cocoon, and the case reveals the Varjagers are being influenced from outside.
Karl Holtz holds Lind on a ship hiding an illegal doll arena, hoping to win big in its betting scene.
Lind resists infection, feigns compliance and steals files that expose Girard's crimes. Frostfall, Cheeta and Griffin free the captive dolls (the guide counts nearly 170 infected with the BETA virus), and Yakov traps Karl in the sinking ship.
Project Eden opens in Lviv, and the Commander is branded a terrorist.
Springfield and Makiatto deliver Helena O-43 to NOMFA in Lviv, and Berezovich Kryuger visits the Commander.
DEFY's Alva and Voymastina learn about Project Eden, a joint Paradeus and Girard project. Igla captures Alva, DEFY takes Helena, and Alva decides to face Igla herself. Per the guide, Girard is also hosting a major tech expo that puts the city almost entirely in its hands.
Kalina is hospitalized after the failed handover, and Kryuger assigns the Commander to protect Orphelune Girard, the head of Project Eden.
Chiloveig and Igla plot to use Helena. Alva breaks out of Chiloveig's simulation, but Chiloveig still captures Helena, and Zimmerman blames Kalina for the failed assassination of Orphelune.
The Commander and DEFY raid a Paradeus lab beneath Girard's Lviv headquarters, and Oleg Girard's cooperation is cut off by Girard security.
Chiloveig activates Project Eden, which opens a portal to Nirvana and spreads ELID across Lviv. Orphelune sends Helena home and goes into Nirvana herself, and the Lviv incident is erased from most people's memories. The Commander is branded a terrorist and escapes Havier Witkin's forces.
Hiding, allying with the doll community and then leading an uprising.
The Elmo flees the contaminated zone as Helena's health declines, then reunites with Suomi and the doll community.
Dushevnaya joins Mangi Security under the name "DP-12", but the real DP-12 is Helen, quietly reactivated by Lentine. With Cocoon tampering on her behalf, Helen escapes Mangi and rejoins the Elmo. Do not mix them up: Helen is a playable T-Doll, while Helena is the girl from the box.
Blusphere's stolen frame rampages and damages the Elmo's radiation shielding, so the crew shelters at the doll community's thermal power plant.
Ullrid proposes selling uncontaminated crops from the underground farms, and the Commander drafts a trade plan. The Commander persuades Sweeper that the Elmo is no threat, and Helen broadcasts the talk so the dolls accept the Commander. At the end, a new faction appears, watching this cooperation.
The Commander's delegation visits Mokosh, an underground city, to find buyers for the doll community's produce.
The corrupt administrator George is secretly selling captured ELID sufferers for their Collapse crystals, and the Commander is jailed. Loreley, a disguised former DSR-50 working for Statesec, helps the Commander, and Vasily Pugachev is recruited as a rebel leader. Per the Dandegate guide, Mokosh is also the source of the drugs in Nikketa's and Florence's events.
The Mokosh rebellion takes shape as Vasily and the Commander expose George's crimes and the Oathsworns defect.
M200 joins the Elmo after sabotaging George's defenses and takes the new name Cheyanne. Mayling stays with the Elmo, and the Commander takes custody of Theia.
Port Mica, a third-generation Groza and rumors of an "Advent".
Ullrid goes looking for better doll frames at an auction in Port Mica, a city run by Connexion Corporation.
Karl Holtz plots a fake-explosives scheme for the Orlog Conglomerate while Basti and Faelynn side with the BUG gang in the chaos. Lydia Sable, Zoe and Dushevnaya resolve the crisis, and Lydia allies with the Commander. Per the guide, Sakura reunites with the Commander here for the first time in ten years.
Juno, a third-generation Groza, is recovered by the Conglomerate and regains her original identity after meeting the Elmo's Groza.
Juno kills Nemesis, but the conflict with the Elmo ends when Nemesis returns in a new body. Juno is named OTs-14 and joins the Elmo. Caldwell's real identity and Darture's role come to light too.
Kalina resigns from NOMFA and joins Nele's rescue non-profit, then investigates a Blood Tentacle in the red zone with Leibnys and Robella.
Soppo evolves into a third-generation doll and the Graurizard is defeated. Caldwell announces the coming "Advent" of Relics, and Zimmerman's Project Lullaby is tied to the keyword "Kladenets".
The Commander and Dandelion dig into Sextans' memories and uncover the Boojum Hub and the identity of Mother, the creator of the Helenas.
The Elmo flees into the red zone, where the Commander rescues Sextans and H-35 from a prototype Boojum with help from Peritya and Nemesis. Nemesis later returns to the Elmo.
Sakura joins the Elmo, and Dushevnaya, Faelynn, Phaetusa and Sweeper head to Cliffwatch Town, where they meet the Winged Cavaliers led by Liushih and Zhisui and face the mercenary Pavel Smolin.
Liushih regains control of Dilu. In Amber Reel of Moonlight, Mityl and Kuro enter the yellow zone after the Mephisto agreement is lifted, help the orphans at Amber Market and expose Lonnie's secret weapons factory. Mityl is captured but later uploaded into a new body aboard the Elmo.
In Project Neural Convergence, the Elmo and Team Groza are infected by the Entropy virus from 42LAB's Magrasea superserver.
The Commander, posing as "the Professor", enters Magrasea with Lewis and Persicaria to gather the source code, then destroys Beelneith. In Advance! Miss Courier, Sakura leaves Griffin & Kryuger to look for the Commander, works as a courier for Molniya Express and earns the title Ace Courier, until news arrives that the Commander has been declared a terrorist.
IOP Wiki lists these two after Moonshroud Requiem but has no summary yet.
OtaHub will add them once a source covers them fully.
No entries match the filters.
Locations from the main story and side stories. This list does not describe a continuous journey taken by the Elmo. The Dandegate guide matches many place names to real cities, but that is inference, and this diagram is not to scale.
Vegetables and decent food in the yellow zone have to be imported from the green or white zones. That is why a doll community growing clean crops at the power plant is such a big advantage, and it becomes the hinge of chapter 17.
Where the Elmo sets a trap for the Varjagers and meets the ELID Nemertea. Also the first time Colphne abandons her teammates.
The Commander brings Helena to see an old friend. Here Helena is captured and Team Groza raids a Girard lab.
Home of Zucchero Cafe and the Cherkasy Carnival. The guide estimates it is about 200 km from Kyiv.
The destination after ODE-01. The guide thinks Griffin's current headquarters is nearby, and KYI-09 is where Turbulent Undercurrent begins.
Where Kalina, Lenna and Leva are held under house arrest, and the battleground of Deep Oblivion. Rurik dies here.
Girard hosts a tech expo, Project Eden opens the gate to Nirvana, and ELID flood the city before the memory of it is erased.
Home of the doll community: Ullrid, Suomi, Dushevnaya, Phaetusa and Sweeper. Its underground farms become their main source of trade.
An underground city run by the corrupt George. The Commander is jailed, then leads an uprising with Vasily.
A port city controlled by Connexion Corporation (probably on the Black Sea), where the doll-frame auction takes place.
A town near a high-tech factory where Liushih's Winged Cavaliers protect the locals.
The worst area. Squad 404 goes to its border in chapter 9, and the Elmo flees into it in Moonshroud Requiem.
It starts with a delivery contract, and the box turns out to hold a girl that several powers want. Helena and Helen are easy to mix up, so they sit side by side here.
The Commander left Griffin & Kryuger after it shrank, and makes a living on contracts in the contaminated zone. From chapter 1, the Commander and team live and work aboard the Elmo.
As the story goes on, the Commander is dragged into bigger things: the Mephisto agreement loosens, Girard hunts them, and after Corposant they are branded a terrorist. Chapter 17 opens a new path when the Commander becomes the trade link for the doll community.
Helena shows up in chapter 1 inside the box that every party wants. According to IOP Wiki, "Helena" is a collective name for several entities that look like a pink-haired girl, and this one is O-43, the last test subject able to withstand Collapse radiation. Girard and Paradeus use her as a "key" for Project Eden.
In Lviv, Orphelune Girard sacrifices herself to save Helena after she is used as the key to the gate to Nirvana. The second Helena, D-68, is named Melanie. Moonshroud Requiem reveals the creator of the Helenas is someone called Mother.
Helen is a playable T-Doll, not the girl from the box. According to IOP Wiki, after Griffin broke up she took a job at Mangi Security while still searching for the Commander, and her neural data became the basis for Cocoon, a third-generation doll.
Chapter 16 shows Lentine quietly reactivating Helen, who escapes back to the Elmo with Cocoon's interference.
The Dandegate guide often blurs Helena and Helen, while IOP Wiki is explicit that they are different characters. This page follows IOP Wiki.
A shortened list. Names follow the EN version both sources use; the Vietnamese release may display some of them differently.
Squad and organization names come thick and fast, so this is a quick lookup.
The most familiar group. Mayling handles repairs, which makes her the one who suffers most whenever the Elmo breaks down. Later Monsoon, Qiuhua, OTs-14 and several others board.
Squad A is these four, the stars of chapters 9 and 10. Squad B boards the Elmo after the Mephisto agreement loosens.
Springfield is the one who finds money-making contracts for the Elmo, like the Platinum Resort job.
Per the guide, all three stay on the Elmo from the end of Echo of Dawn, but that story was rewritten, so treat it with care.
Hoping to keep a home for the Commander once exile is over.
Chasing Project Eden since before chapter 13, and, per the guide, arriving just in time to save the Commander's group in Moonshroud Requiem.
Grows clean food and becomes the Commander's trade partner after chapter 17.
A corporation with underground labs, fake vaccines and doll arenas. Rurik Girard dies in chapter 12, but Orphelune and Oleg Girard matter through chapter 15.
A cult-like organization with bases and labs everywhere, running Project Eden with Girard.
A security firm tied to drugs in the yellow zone. Its Adjutant Lentine shows up in chapters 8.7 and 16.
Attack the Elmo from chapter 1. The guide notes they grow more organized and are influenced from outside.
A third-generation doll of the Orlog Conglomerate, warm on the surface but, per IOP Wiki, cunning and ruthless. Her voice appears from chapter 9.

No. The opening reintroduces the Commander's position and the state of the T-Dolls. Veterans just recognize more characters and world details.
The main story opens on April 15, 2074 in the game world, at 08:22 a.m. Side stories are spread across roughly 2065 to 2074.
No. Helena is the girl in the box, while Helen is a playable T-Doll who used to work for Mangi Security and returns to the Elmo in chapter 16. The Dandegate guide tends to blur the two, but IOP Wiki is explicit that they are different characters.
Because some stories were rewritten or dropped from canon, like Echo of Dawn and Ace Delivery. This page marks where the two sources disagree.

The story is the same. The Vietnamese release is published by THS Game, opened servers at 10:00 on August 27, 2026 and supports Vietnamese, so some names and terms may appear differently from the EN version.
According to the IOP Wiki Doll Index, last edited September 8, 2026, there are 68 T-Dolls: 58 Elite and 10 Standard. The full list is in the "T-Dolls" tab of Quick reference.
