The official site for the Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing anime confirmed a third season right after the season 2 finale aired on TOKYO MX on September 25, 2026, according to Anime News Network. The new season will adapt the "S-Rank Dungeon Conquest Arc".
Masato Tamagawa returns to direct at Yokohama Animation Lab, with Daishiro Tanimura handling series scripts and Kei Tsushima designing characters. Season 3's air date, episode count and international release plans have not been announced.
What Is Hell Mode About?
Author Hamuo's source began as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō from November 2019, before Earth Star Entertainment published it as light novels from July 2020. The protagonist is a 35-year-old office worker and veteran MMORPG player who picks the hardest difficulty setting and is reincarnated in another world as a serf child named Allen.
By December 2024, the whole franchise (light novels, manga and anime) had over 1.6 million copies in circulation, showing a sizable fanbase ahead of season 3.
How Did The First Two Seasons Air?
The anime is produced by Yokohama Animation Lab: season 1 ran 12 episodes from January to March 2026, and season 2 ran 13 episodes from July to September 25, 2026. Sentai Filmworks licensed it in North America, streaming on HIDIVE with both Japanese audio and an English dub.
