What is Yadoya no Oinu-sama about?
According to Kodansha’s official synopsis, the protagonist is Kasumi Kuromine, a girl raised freely in the wild, “rather ferocious, but straightforward”. After her grandmother dies, Kasumi moves in with relatives. On a middle-school field trip, she suddenly falls from a mountain.
Kasumi wakes up at an inn called “Bō” (忘, meaning “forget”), where lost memories can be recovered, and learns things about herself she never imagined. Kodansha pitches it as a mainstream shonen manga that is “nostalgic yet new”, set in the 1990s. Chapter 1 is titled “Lone Wolf, Stray Inn” in English.

Where to read it
The Japanese version runs in the November 2026 issue of Monthly Shonen Magazine, released October 6 for 700 yen, with chapter 1 free online. The English version, The Wolf at Memory’s End, launched on Kodansha’s K MANGA app on October 5 US time, with chapter 1 free and new chapters around the 5th of each month.
To celebrate, Kodansha is offering Noragami volumes 1 to 5 free on the Monthly Shonen Magazine app from October 5 to 11.
Who is Adachitoka?
Adachitoka is the shared pen name of a creative duo who debuted in Monthly Shonen Magazine with Alive (written by Tadashi Kawashima). Their best-known work is Noragami, serialized from 2010 to January 2024 across 27 volumes, about Yato, a nameless god who takes any odd job for 5 yen. Studio BONES adapted Noragami into two anime seasons in 2014 and 2015 (Noragami Aragoto).
In Vietnam, Noragami is published by Kim Dong Publishing as Vị thần lang thang. No Vietnamese edition of the new series has been announced.

OtaHub’s take
Noragami fans waited three years, and Adachitoka chose something both familiar and new: still a supernatural world steeped in Japanese folklore, but this time centered on memory and a “ferocious” girl instead of a wandering god. Launching the English version at the same time shows Kodansha is betting on international readers. At one chapter a month, this will be a series that rewards patience, but a long, free first chapter is reason enough to try it.
