Overview

Medalist Season 2 (Medalist 2nd Season) is a 9-episode TV anime from studio ENGI that began airing on 24/1/2026 and adapts the manga by Ikada Tsuruma. Ever since the novice coach Tsukasa Akeuraji took Inori Yuitsuka under his wing, she has improved quickly at figure skating. After passing a badge test, she earns a place at the Chubu Block tournament.

OtaHub's take

Only five of the 15 competitors advance to the All-Japan Novice tournament, and most rivals have already tried their luck there. The series is drama, psychology and sports. Yasutaka Yamamoto directs and Jukki Hanada handles series composition. This is the second season, preceded by Medalist, and the data also lists a movie.

Verdict

A good match for viewers who like sports stories centered on competitive psychology and the bond between coach and athlete. Watch season 1 first, because this season goes straight into the tournament without a fresh introduction.
