Rakudai Kenja no Gakuin Musou

Overview

Rakudai Kenja no Gakuin Musou (known in English as From Overshadowed to Overpowered: Second Reincarnation of a Talentless Sage) opens as the great sage Ephtal dies in despair after failing to reach the peak of magic. Four hundred years later he is reborn with all his memories and power intact, in a world where magic has decayed and ancient spells are treated as miracles.

OtaHub's take

Ephtal storms into a prestigious magic academy to reclaim the true art of sorcery. It is adapted from a manga based on Arata Shiraishi's story, produced by EMT Squared, directed by Hisashi Ishii, runs 12 episodes as an ONA, and began airing on 25/6/2026. The description carries a note about the Nidome installment, but the data names no earlier part.

Verdict

It suits viewers who like reincarnation isekai with an already powerful lead and an academy setting. According to the available data, nothing needs to be watched first. The series has 12 episodes, so it is easy to watch in one go.
