Overview
Tensei shitara Dragon no Tamago datta, known in English as Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling, is a 12-episode TV anime from Felix Film that began airing on 10/1/2026. It adapts the light novel by Nekoko, directed by Yuuta Takamura with series composition by Tatsuhiko Urahata.

The protagonist is reborn in another world inside a dragon egg, so he starts without the amazing magic or mighty strength of a typical isekai hero. He must break free and grow from a weak hatchling into a fearsome beast if he wants to escape a deep, dark forest unscathed. The synopsis presents it as a different take on the isekai genre, with action and adventure.
Verdict
A fit for viewers who like isekai that starts from a weak position and follows the growing process. This is the first season and the data lists no prequel, so you can start from episode one.
