Overview

Where Winds Meet (Chinese title Yan Yun Shi Liu Sheng) is an open-world wuxia action RPG developed by Everstone Studio in Hangzhou and published by NetEase Games. It is set in China's Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, across regions such as Qinghe, Kaifeng and Hexi. You play a wandering youxia and can lean toward righteousness or chaos.

OtaHub's take

Combat revolves around several weapon types such as swords, spears, rope darts, fans and umbrellas, each tied to its own martial art. The game supports solo and multiplayer play with cross-platform play and progression. Its Steam page also notes AI-driven NPC text and voice chat and optional AI-assisted character creation. It is free to play; according to the publisher, the story, maps and martial arts progression are free, while paid items are purely cosmetic.

The game launched globally on 14/11/2025 on PC and PlayStation 5, followed by Android and iOS on 12/12/2025 and Xbox Series X|S on 7/6/2026. In Vietnam it officially opened on 10/9/2026 with Vietnamese localization, with Funtap Games handling servers and community; Steam also lists Vietnamese among its 12 languages. Wikipedia records Metacritic scores of 72/100 on PC and 74/100 on PS5, while Steam user reviews are very positive. The 100 million global players figure comes from the publisher's side and has not been independently verified by OtaHub.
