On September 24, 2026, the TopGame channel published a video on the best truly grind-worthy mobile RPGs of 2026, covering 13 titles from Aniimo and Dragon Nest to Where Winds Meet. OtaHub researched and compiled this guide from that video, Steam, publisher announcements and international coverage, checking each game to see whether it has launched, which platforms it runs on and whether it supports Vietnamese. Information is current as of October 2, 2026.

What Is a Grinding Game and Why Play One?

Grinding games are RPGs built around a progression loop: fight, gather resources, upgrade gear or characters, then step into harder challenges. What separates a great grinding game from a tedious one is the depth of that loop: does combat require skill or can you leave it on auto, and do the rewards make you want to come back? TopGame’s video stresses this criterion, and the 13 titles below are grouped by the kind of experience they offer.

2. Dragon Nest (Vietnam Edition): Action Without Auto

This corresponds to Dragon Nest M: Classic, developed by Eyedentity Games of South Korea, which recreates the Dragon Nest action MMORPG on phones. The international version launched on July 24, 2025, while in Vietnam Moc Game has published it since September 18, 2026. It uses 3D non-target combat in which players control combos and skills themselves, with dungeons, Nest raids, cross-server ranked PvP and guilds. The four starting classes are Warrior, Archer, Mage and Cleric. According to TopGame, it suits players who enjoy combos driven purely by manual skill.

3. Where Winds Meet: Open-World Wuxia

Where Winds Meet is an open-world action game set in ancient China, developed by Everstone Studio and published by NetEase Games, which launched globally on Steam on November 14, 2025. The Vietnamese edition run by Funtap officially opened on September 10, 2026 after a launch event in Hanoi, with cross-platform progression across PC, console and mobile. The game is free, and paid items are cosmetic only. According to the announcement, it has more than 100 million players worldwide and a Steam peak of 250,000 concurrent players. TopGame’s video says the Vietnamese edition offers free-roaming martial arts but still raises questions about operations, so players should watch for updates and announcements from the publisher.

4. Ares: The Iron Vanguard: Armor of the Future

Ares is developed by Second Dive and published by Com2uS Holdings. It launched globally on September 15, 2026 on iOS, Android and PC with cross-play between mobile and PC, and is free to download. Its highlight is a real-time Suit-switching system (carry two suits and swap during combat), four classes (Engineer, Warlord, Hunter and Warlock), and content such as the Goliath mech, Valkyrie aerial armor, the Hover Bike and co-op raids. Combat rewards dodging and combos. TopGame says the game has Vietnamese.

Group 2: Grinding Through Battles and Monster Hunts

5. Architect: Land of Exiles: Unreal Engine 5 Visuals

This Korean MMORPG launched at home on October 22, 2025 and topped the Google Play grossing chart. The international version opened on September 16, 2026 in nine Asian markets, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia. It runs on Unreal Engine 5 with a "Battle Stance" system for switching skill sets and an Abyss Battlefield mode for cross-server fights. The game offers AI auto-battle, even when offline, plus automatic translation in parties and guilds. Vietnam is not among these markets.

6. AION 2: Aerial Combat and Large-Scale Battlefields

This monster-hunting game from TiMi Studio, made in cooperation with Capcom, launches internationally on October 29, 2026 on iOS and Android (a mainland China release is expected in 2027). It is free to play, includes the Charge Blade at launch and will add monsters, biomes and weapons later. TopGame praises its emphasis on teamwork rather than letting raw power overwhelm skill.

Group 3: When Grinding Is More Than Power Level

8. Azur Promilia: Raising Kibo and Building a Home

Azur Promilia is a free open-world RPG from Manjuu planned for mobile, PC and PS5. Its heart is the Kibo, companions that fight, serve as mounts and help gather resources, alongside farming, building and crafting. In combat you use a three-character party with tag switching, plus dodges, parries and breaks. Manjuu handles China, Nexon publishes in Korea and Yostar in Japan. It has no official release date or international schedule yet.

9. Mabinogi Mobile: Grinding Meets Everyday Life

Nexon brings the world of Erinn from Mabinogi to mobile with a warm style, cooking and housing next to combat. It launched in South Korea on March 27, 2025, topped store charts and won Game of the Year at the 2025 Korea Game Awards. It then opened in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau on July 22, 2026 and will open in Japan on October 7, 2026 with more than 200,000 pre-registrations. It supports iOS, Android and PC with cross-play. Nexon has not announced a Western or global version.

10. Petit Planet: A Little Planet of Your Own

HoYoverse’s life-simulation project is planned for winter 2026 on PC, iOS and Android as a free game. You play a "Planet Tender", decorating, crafting, fishing, farming, cooking and befriending neighbors while tending the Luca Arbor tree: as it grows, new areas and creatures appear. It has gone through two closed betas and will have one final beta before release.

Group 4: Worlds Worth Anticipating

11. Sleepless Wilds

Made by ZEALORY Games, which includes former Perfect World members, this is an open-world ARPG focused on physics and environmental interaction, supporting both solo and co-op play on PC, Android and iOS. The community often compares its exploration to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. It has no release date; a PC technical test ran from September 24 to 27, 2026 in China.

12. Lord of Mysteries

This MMORPG adapts the web novel by Cuttlefish That Loves Diving. It is developed by SPARK NEXA, Kuaishou’s studio, on Unreal Engine 5 with a Victorian occult setting. It opened in China on August 21, 2026 with more than one million registrations in the first hour and a peak above 700,000 concurrent players. Instead of classes, players follow "Pathways", alongside a Sanity mechanic (0 to 100) that affects stamina and damage. A global version with English, Japanese and Korean has been promised but not dated, and some commentators worry about pay-to-win advantages.

13. Wangyue

An open-world ARPG set in a modern Chinese city where people coexist with "Moon Spirit" creatures that players can capture and train. It is planned for PC, iOS and Android and ran a second test in China on June 19 to 20, 2026, but has no official release date.

Tips to Avoid Burning Time and Money

  • Check language and regional availability before downloading, since many games on the list have not opened in Vietnam or lack Vietnamese.
  • Search for the game name directly on Google Play, the App Store, Steam or the official portal, and avoid unofficial APKs and modified versions, as TopGame’s video advises.
  • Understand the business model: Where Winds Meet promises cosmetic-only paid items, while the global AION 2 offers Founder’s Packs for early access.
  • Set a daily time limit, because games with daily lockouts or routines can easily make you play more than planned.
