Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game Part 1 aired all 12 episodes from January to March 2026. The next part has been announced under the official name Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: Culling Game Part 2, with MAPPA continuing production. A teaser has been released, but as of September 30, 2026 the anime's website has not set a broadcast date.

Where does Season 3 end?
After the Shibuya Incident, the jujutsu world falls into chaos. Kenjaku triggers the Culling Game, a nationwide ritual that turns many areas into "colonies" with their own rules. Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro enter the game to find a way to unseal Gojo, and also to save Tsumiki, Megumi's sister, from the system Kenjaku has built.
The first part focuses on setting up the rules, placing the characters into individual colonies and introducing the new players. Yuta Okkotsu has his own fighting storyline in Sendai, while Yuji and Megumi must collect points to add rules that favor their rescue plan. This article does not reveal the outcome of each fight; the key point is that Season 3 covers only the first half of the arc and does not close out the entire Culling Game.
The next part is Season 4, not Season 3 Part 2
The official Japanese site calls the next part TV anime Season 4 - Culling Game Part 2. Takeru Satō, who took part in directing and staging the first part, takes the director role for the new season. The June teaser showed Hakari facing Kashimo, Maki in action in the Sakurajima Colony, and the storyline of Choso and Yuki Tsukumo against Kenjaku.
At Juju Fes on August 29, the team went on to reveal a visual of Sukuna beneath the water and a new story introduction. These images confirm that the project is progressing, but they do not confirm "early 2027" or any specific broadcast month. So the schedules circulating online are still only guesses.
What order should you watch in?
- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1: introduces Yuji, Megumi, Nobara and Gojo.
- Jujutsu Kaisen 0: the story of Yuta Okkotsu, very important from Season 3 onward.
- Season 2: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death and the Shibuya Incident.
- Season 3: Culling Game Part 1: 12 episodes.
- Season 4: Culling Game Part 2: in production, no air date yet.
The compilation film of the Shibuya Incident, with the first two episodes of the Culling Game attached, is a quick way to catch up, not a required part if you have already watched Seasons 2 and 3 in full.
What stands out about the Culling Game
This arc expands the jujutsu system with a wide range of abilities that come with complicated conditions. Fights depend not only on strength but also on how well you read the rules, deduce techniques and use the space inside a barrier. The downside is that the number of characters and concepts grows quickly; viewers should track each group's goals rather than trying to memorize every player the moment they appear.
