Order of the Sinking Star, the next puzzle adventure from director Jonathan Blow (Braid, The Witness) and studio Thekla, has officially confirmed a PlayStation 5 version and set an October 8, 2026 release date, launching simultaneously on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch 2.
PlayStation Blog published a detailed hands-on report about the PS5 version on July 21, describing the game as a massive puzzle adventure with more than 1,000 hand-crafted puzzles spread across four distinct worlds, each with its own mechanics, characters and story, before they all collide. The playable cast includes a queen, a thief, a warrior, a wizard, and even a talking boat, each bringing different abilities to exploration and puzzle-solving.
According to publisher Arc Games, players can explore at their own pace, revisit completed worlds, and return to unfinished puzzles across a journey that can run into the hundreds of hours. It is Thekla's first major project since The Witness launched a decade ago.
