On October 3, 2026, ATLUS released the “Shadow” trailer for Persona 4 Revival, its remake of Persona 4 Golden, focused on Shadow confrontations and featuring new music and gameplay. What is in the Shadow trailer?
As the name suggests, the trailer centers on Shadows, the heart of Persona 4. In the game, each member of the Investigation Team must face their own Shadow, the embodiment of what they refuse to admit about themselves, before awakening to their Persona. The trailer shows these confrontations in their new form, along with new music and previously unseen gameplay.
Before this, ATLUS released a story trailer, a new features trailer and character trailers for the protagonist, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, Teddie and Naoto.
What does Persona 4 Revival remake?
Persona 4 Revival is developed by P-Studio and directed by Daisuke Yajima. It stays faithful to Persona 4 Golden’s story: a high school student moves to the rural town of Inaba and forms the Investigation Team with his friends to solve a series of bizarre murders tied to the “Midnight Channel.” Visuals and systems are rebuilt to match Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload.
On music, Ryota Kozuka, who composed for the original Persona 4, returns to write new music and rearrange Shoji Meguro’s tracks, with Shiori Sasaki on vocals. The game was first announced in June 2025.
