Overview
P.T. is a horror demo released free on PS4 on 12 August 2014, set entirely in a looping hallway. Players who solved it learned it was a teaser for Silent Hills, a project by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro starring Norman Reedus.

Silent Hills was cancelled, and on 29 April 2015 Konami removed P.T. from the PS Store and blocked re-downloads. PS4 consoles with P.T. installed became collector's items.
On 7 October 2026 independent developer Lorean Xavier released a native port for Windows, Linux and Steam Deck that rebuilds the Fox Engine and requires data from the player's own PS4 copy. Hideo Kojima reposted an article about the project; Konami has not commented.
Verdict
P.T. is one of the most influential horror experiences of the 2010s, worth exploring for anyone interested in the genre and in Silent Hill's history.
