Overview
Tax Shield, full title Tax Shield – Phiêu lưu săn quái thuế 2026 (Tax Monster Hunt 2026), is a browser game made by the Threads user @youngader6868 and opened to the community for free. There is nothing to install: enter a display name and you are in, and the interface has been rebuilt to work comfortably on a phone. The author calls it fairly heavy on knowledge, best suited to working professionals and students of accounting, auditing and finance.
OtaHub's take
You play a new accountant at Juventus Co., Ltd. just as the company receives a tax inspection notice. Boss Long hands out the day's work, a shield mascot called Khiên Khiên tags along with reminders, and the rival is Inspector Bóng Thuế (Shadow Tax). The game has 5 chapters matching 5 career ranks, from a bewildered intern to a tax director defending the company against the inspector, with everyday chores such as closing the books, reconciling payables and checking e-invoices in between.
The content spans 16 game modes and 5 difficulty levels across a 12-region map with badges and a leaderboard. Players fill in VAT returns, compute personal income tax under the new 5-bracket table, handle corporate income tax settlement, then excise tax, foreign contractor tax, import-export duty, registration fees and household business filings. Each knowledge area ties to a region and to monsters with charmingly specific names such as the Fake Invoice Zombie or the 1-Billion-Threshold Boar.
The rules keep to the slogan that tax filing is not hard, just easy to end up in jail over: you have 5 credibility points, a wrong answer or timeout costs one and triggers a penalty ladder from reprimand to prosecution, and five mistakes send you into the final boss fight, the Interrogation Room. Every question comes with an answer, an explanation and a legal basis, but the game stresses that it is only a simulation and real filings must be checked against current regulations.
