The run continued through chapter 419, released on August 30, 2026 — the latest chapter at the time of writing.
A rare 10-chapter streak
It is one of Hunter x Hunter’s longest consecutive runs in years, with 10 new chapters released steadily since June 2026. Togashi even shared an image of the finished chapter 419 manuscript on X, along with a manuscript envelope dated February 2026, showing he completed the chapter long before release.
Leaving Shonen Jump after chapter 420
On September 4, 2026, Shonen Jump confirmed Hunter x Hunter will leave the magazine after chapter 420 (September 6, issue 41), starting a new hiatus. Notably, Togashi has finished manuscripts up to chapters 428–430, a far larger stockpile than in previous breaks, although no official return date has been announced.
