Halo: Campaign Evolved officially joined Xbox Game Pass on July 28, 2026, launching day one for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers and leading the July wave 2 additions announced by Xbox Wire on July 21.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake of Halo: Combat Evolved's campaign with overhauled visuals and controls, adding online co-op for up to four players, three brand-new missions, and an expanded lineup of weapons, vehicles and enemies compared with the original 2001 release.
Alongside that announcement, Xbox confirmed two more titles joining the service on August 4: Beast of Reincarnation, Game Freak's first action RPG outside the Pokémon franchise, set in a post-apocalyptic Japan with combat blending real-time and turn-based systems around a lone protagonist and their dog; and Heretic + Hexen, an enhanced restoration of id Software's classic fantasy shooters, available across Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass. The wave also included The Planet Crafter on July 21, the co-op detective horror game Shift at Midnight day one on July 22, and Hell Is Us on July 23 for Ultimate, Premium and PC tiers.
