Chainsaw Man Keeps Drawing Crowds in North America
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc’s Harvey Awards nomination adds to the franchise’s run of success in international markets.
The film follows Denji and his encounter with Reze, combining Chainsaw Man’s signature fights with a turbulent love story.
In North America, the film opened at No. 1 with $17.3 million, beating several competitors at the box office at the time. It is one of the signs that the appeal of Japanese anime keeps growing in this market.
Beyond the big screen, Chainsaw Man also appeared at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, where the franchise continued to be showcased to North American anime fans.
The Harvey Awards Show Anime’s Growing International Presence
Founded in 1988, the Harvey Awards recognize many areas of the comics industry, including comics, graphic novels and manga. Nominees are selected and voted on by industry professionals.
Having Chainsaw Man, One Piece, Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia in the same adaptation category shows how closely Japanese manga and anime are becoming tied to the international entertainment market.
