Football Manager 27 is free to try on PC and Mac until 1 a.m. on November 4 in Vietnam time.
SEGA and Sports Interactive are offering access to the Launch Preview ahead of the full release on November 10, 2026. This is a limited free-play period, so downloading it now does not give you permanent ownership.
Where can you download the Football Manager 27 trial?
Windows and Mac users can find the preview through Steam or the Epic Games Store. The Microsoft Store and Xbox app on Windows offer another route for PC users. The publisher notes that access may go live at different times across platforms.
Game Pass access requires PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The mention of Xbox Game Pass does not make this a console trial. The announced free-play offer covers the PC and Mac game.
The period runs from 1 a.m. on October 30 to 1 a.m. on November 4, 2026 in Vietnam time (UTC+7). The closing time is equivalent to 6 p.m. GMT on November 3, so players in Vietnam should not expect access to last throughout November 4.
Before downloading, compare your computer with the Windows or macOS requirements listed on the store. Steam specifies 20 GB of available storage and currently does not list Vietnamese interface support.
Can you keep your progress after free access ends?
Yes. Careers started during free play can continue into the paid Launch Preview and full release without restarting. Free access still expires at the time above. To keep playing, you need to buy the game or maintain an eligible Game Pass subscription.
Pre-purchases are available at 10% off through SEGA-approved digital retailers. That offer includes continued Launch Preview access between the end of free play and the November 10 launch. Eligible Game Pass subscribers can also continue through their subscription.
What is worth trying in the preview?
All game modes are available. Launch Preview replaces the previous Beta or Advanced Access naming and is intended to be closer to the release version. Bugs may still occur, and some player or club information and assets remain subject to rights-holder approval.
During matches, Tactical Tweaks lets you issue quick instructions without opening the tactics screen. You can, for example, swap your wide players to opposite flanks or ask the team to play with more urgency in pursuit of a goal. The preview offers a chance to test that change directly rather than judging it from a feature list.
Tactical Effectiveness connects recruitment, training and tactical choices with how well your squad can execute your approach. If you are undecided about buying FM27, free play lets you assess the interface, team management tools and processing speed on your own computer.
